dont expect to be able to PM BJ's anywhere...

i know for certain OM is a no go...besides the fact that neither Staples, OM, OD, BB, CC or CUSA carries it anyway...
Microcenter carries the drive for $299...but i doubt they have any kind of PM-Guarantee where they give you a percent of the difference of the PM...

if they did it would be real nice...
$300 - $170 = $130...10% would be $13...15% (pushing it...lol) would be $19.50...

i really couldn't tell ya what MC's PM policy is...frankly everything ive bought at MC ive never PM'd because MC generally sells products somewhat cheaper than ST, OD, OM, BB, CC, and CUSA...and their policy isnt online from what i know...

BJ's cuts out the middle man (the way it SHOULD be...go to hell Best Buy and Circuit City) and they buy in bulk, making the price MUCH lower...

edit: calculated math using $180 as opposed to $170...

Nowhere to be found in the Nashua, NH BJ's.

Oddly enough, they do have DVD+R media, just nothing to burn it with...

Sure is... as a matter of fact, there's a mall nearby which has a BJ's, a Dick's (Sporting Goods chain) and a Seimens (Furniture).

Siemens (the electronics company) actually has a building in England at a place called Staines. The area is called Middlesex. So their address is Siemens Staines Middlesex. You can't make that kinda sh!t up.

when there is a Dick with a BJ, you know there has to be Siemen nearby.

You must be referring to the shopping complex near Atlantic city, NJ.
BJs is directly next to Dick's which is directly next to Siemens. If things couldnt get worse...
In eyesight of those stores is OddJob, Target, BestBuy and Babies R Us, more of an odd mix...

This is the Rochester, NY branch.
Are you sure it was dual-format?
Dual format means DVD+/-R, not DVD-R/RW...

Maybe just not in stock yet in my town...

dammit... that means no deal for me :( ...

After a call, I found the price was 220 but they did not see any rebate and couldnt tell me if it was the dual format version. Ill have to go there and see.

OK, I'm confused. The instant rebate may or may not be valid anymore. I went to BJ's and the only Cendyne burner on display for that price was a DVD-RW for $250, discounted to $220, with a $50 MIR. So I went to the service counter to ask the woman there if they had any +/-RW drives in stock. She went back and got one, but when she scanned it, it came up at $249, so I passed.

So either one of two things:

(a) The $30 instant rebate only comes up when you actually go through the act of purchasing it, and then the discount shows up on the receipt?...
(b) The $30 instant rebate is no longer valid.

If anyone can clarify, that'd be great, but I can't go back and re-check it very easily because the closest BJ's to me is about 45 minutes away. I'm not to keen on driving that far just to double-check something I may have missed last time I was in the area. ;)

I saw this at the attleboro, MA bj's and it had a tag that said $219.99. No indication of any rebate...

funny thing is that it was sitting next to a 2x dvd-r/rw for $209.99 and a 4x dvd-r/rw for $219.99. HMMMM, wonder which is the better deal...

We've got a Fuch's in Detroit. It's right next to a CompUSA (Madison Hgts). So I guess you can go in either store if you wanna get...never mind :p

Go to cendyne dot com and you will see the dual format drive right on the main site.
Edit, you will see the external one on the front page, but you can just go to products and find the internal one.
