I resist because people don't like to go "there", and will often have news or political discussions at a lower angst level on OT. Once it goes past a certain level I or someone else will move it, and then The Guardian of Hell's Gate (me) will feast on their souls. Or something.

I'll clarify - the religious, in general, tend toward the crazy. I mean, we're talking about believing in a big guy in the sky. When people believe in a different big guy in the sky, you go to war and either kill them or die trying. When someone believes in a big guy that no one else believes in, he's labelled crazy and locked up in an asylum.

But muslims go the extra few steps. Their religion doesn't preach peace but rather war and murder, and they follow it fanatically. Christians, aside from a crazy miniscule minority, aren't known for suicide bombing, nor hatred of certain races or countries. While the US has done a lot to piss off the muslims, lashing out is not the answer.

But I guess this post is an insult to islam, eh? 😉 I'll be sure to keep an eye out for the jihadists...

Considering the budget of the Pentagon, can't they get a couple of consultants to avoid this crap all the time? Several private companies with facilities or business relations in different parts of the world do hire consultants for this, and usually with extremely good results...
 
No matter what the US does it is an insult to some form of religion. I find it an insult to my religion that stores are open on Sunday. I demand an apology.

Ummm - so we dropped soccer balls from a helicopter. The Soccer balls had flags from lots of nations on them, including Saudi Arabia. And the problem is....If the words on the Saudi Arabian flag are so offensive, maybe Saudi Arabia should change their flag.
