I just got a new DVD burner for christmas so I go to install it. When I am done I plug everything back in and boot it up. Everything seems fine at this point; the boot screen with the bars going across apears. After this the screen just goes blank.
I know it is a Windows problem because I had an old Mandrake live CD laying around and that worked perfectly fine.
What do you think could be causing this? I don't mind reformatting if I do have to, but I would like to know what would cause such a thing. All I did was install a new DVD burner.
