ok, so a couple of days ago i get home and my monitor is black. I moved the mouse thinking it was just in sleep mode but nothing happened. Everything is on but no response/picture. I restarted it and it worked for about 15 min. then turned off again. After that it worked fine for about 2 days and now the same thing happens. This time it either wont turn on (shows black screen) or it does but gets about halfway loading and shuts off.

i tried reseating the vid. card but it didnt work.
Any ideas? Im hopeless
 
Start by identifying the problem. Have you tried connecting a different monitor to your setup?
If the same thing happens, it's probably your vid card. If not, you're probably in for a monitor repair or replacement.

yep i tried it with the monitor in the other room and the same thing happens. it probably is my vid. card. I will try another tomoro or if i can i will tonight and see if the problem continues.
 
okay, I'd reseat the video card. have you tried connecting another monitor to see if it does it again?

if you can get it to run long enough, I'd install PC Wizard and check the temps and voltages with it.
 
yeah i tried another, i tried switching slots, tried dif. cables, reseated it, nothing works.
most i can get it run is about a minute now. i will put it in another pc today and check to see what happens
