Blank/black screen after Windows login

[CDC Mail Guy]

This morning when I turned on my PC, I clicked on my name and it went to "loading your personal settings", and then the screen immediately went (and stayed) blank. Shut down manually, and after trying it again with the same results, I booted into safe mode, and everything works fine.

Why? Help please

you could try a reinstallation of the video driver

Try booting up in safe mode and seeing if it works. If it does then it's probably a driver related problem, and you should reinstall it.

Okay...and done. It goes to a blank screen when I click on my wife's name and her daughter's as well. But again, everything is AOK when booting into safe mode.

do a clean uninstall the driver then install again and see what happen

Hey, i got the same problem, i started up my pc this morning, i login as always, the desktop loads, but suddenly the screen goes black, i'm currently writing this in failsafe mode and i will try reinstalling my video drivers, i will let you know what happens.
