Blank 2nd monitor when playing video fullscreen

I have a Mid-2010 iMac 21.5" running Windows 8. I have the internal 21.5" screen set as an extended display and a 24" external as the primary. Is there any way to automatically blank the built-in 21.5" screen when playing videos fullscreen on the 24" display using Windows Media Player?

Quicktime in OS X works the way I want, but I can't seem to figure out a way to do it in Windows.

If you look under the "advanced" setting of the Settings tab, depending on your graphic card, it may include a configuration routine that will allow you to set up a permanent profile to use the TV only if it is attached. But that varies by video card.Or if you close the lid this will shutdown the lcd.but will keep running on tv.

Unfortunately, no such advanced settings for my card. It's an ATI HD 5670, but for some reason there is no Catalyst Control Center to change settings or application profiles. I tried uninstalling the driver installed by Bootcamp5 and installing the 13.4 driver downloaded directly from the ATI site, but it doesn't detect the display adapter. Strangely, the program you can download from the ATI site to auto detect the display adapter does work and identifies it as ATI HD 5xxx, but the driver it downloads won't install a display adapter.

I had to reinstall the version from Bootcamp5.
