Mideast - AFP LONDON (AFP) - London and Washington will definitely present "convincing and conclusive evidence" about Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s alleged programmes to develop weapons of mass destruction, Prime Minister Tony Blair (news - web sites) said.


"I have absolutely no doubt at all that we will be able to show convincing and conclusive evidence of the existence of weapons of mass destruction," Blair told reporters at his monthly press conference at Downing Street.


"We are interviewing scientists and experts, and I can assure you we are getting a lot of information from them, as well as finding things like the trailers for what we believe to be mobile biological weapons laboratories," Blair said.

We will give you all our Bushs for your one Blair.....

Yep, a rather moot point now isn't it? But historians might get a kick out of having that answer for their books.

My question is still can they show proof Iraq was using/planning to use WMD against the U.S.? Or even selling the weapons on the open market to terrorists? Then the war comes a bit closer to "justified" (somehow killing people who had something they agreed not to have didn't quite cut it).

The weapons were there recently, and thats a fact. Even the french and Germans admited to that. The only people who can attest to what happened with them are the Iraqis who worked on them.

Being an actual "liberal" myself, I'll whole-heartly admit the legitatmacy of the war on Iraq provided that there is solid evidence that Saddam has Weapons of Mass destruction and viable means to deliver them. Nothing more nothing less.

Let me know when I can start breathing again. I have been holding my breath for Bush et al to show their evidence of the existence of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.

I am still laughing. I read this thread 7 hours ago and cannot quit laughing. Hey, I got called a diehard liberal the other day on another board, because I said a tax cut for our state was ludicrous and that religion should stay out of the government.
