Here is the BBC link

ps. Could he not have got a better cameraman and background? It looked like it was a last minute decision filmed in a broom cupboard! 😉

I think the British would pull out their hair, gouge out their eyes, and pour hot wax into their ears if Dubya became their PM.

About the same thing as Blair except from an American Perspective. Bush's address served the purpose well.

What is there to think? he is finished, everyone knows that, he knows that himself...

He will go down in history as the sock puppet of GW...

REgardless of whether you agree with him or not - I can't say that you can be so sure. Stranger things have happened (The conservatives got in in '92! 😉)

Actually, if a leader of a country goes against 90% of your peoples will, you are finished, no matter what you, i or anyone else thinks about this war...

The sock puppet went against the will of his people, against the will of the EU, against the will of the world (the UN)...

He is one of the best speakers ever seen, so maybe, maybe, he can take up his teaching-career?

I do not support the course of action that led to this - but never the less to claim 90% against this war is a gross overstatement. At worst it is probably ~50% now.

I still say that does not necessarily finish him. Think about the poll tax for a recent example.

Comparing New Coalition, 1991 Alliance

"How the U.S.-led "coalition of the willing" compares to the 1991 alliance that drove Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait:

2003 ? 31 nations: Afghanistan , Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador , Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, South Korea , Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Uzbekistan.

U.S. State Department says 15 other unidentified countries also have pledged support.
...
"

46 rogue nations and the list is growing.

You got it wrong SnapIT, again.

It might be because they are capable of seeing the big picture.

and btw, that support is only for use of airspace and the US base here during the war and some help rebuilding it after the war

support for the war here is.. well hardly here at all, the gov opposition heard about the support first from the US instead of our own government, that will sure help get support for it:frown:

then they wouldnt support it, because this war is no longer mainly about removing saddam, it is about keeping the limited world cooperation built in the last 50 years, going to war with such a big opposition from the world community has done severe damage to the world community

I don't wish to drag this out - but I am genuinely interested - which statistics list 90% against this war?

Thanks,

Andy

Wow, wasn't THAT an irrelevant argument?

Blair is sooo hot.

He should have had a big pick of churchill in the background stepping on hitler's head. Nice backdrop that would be!
