If its supposed to be funny, shouldn't I be laughing when I watch it? Like I said earlier, I didn't find Talladega Nights funny until the end when they showed the out-takes.

Agreed. I hated TN but really enjoyed Stranger Than Fiction.
 
Some people take themselves too seriously......Will Ferrell is funny, and if you dont think so then you need to lighten up. Not everything has to be educational, its called entertainment.

Talladega Nights is the only will farrell movie I remember liking where he's kind of will farrelly. Stranger than Fiction was great. He wasn't very will farrelly though. He was also good in melinda and melinda. His half of the movie was great, the other half sucked.

Did not like anchor man, kicking and screaming, or old school.

Anyway this movie looks pretty bad... but also good in a zoolander sort of way.

i disagree i love funny movies but farrell is not funny in my book. he plays the same annoying moronic role, says the same lines, has the same stupid facial expressions in all of his movies. this movie is nothing but a SNL skit.

the moron role he plays is done, its over played and just stupid.

I want to see this movie. I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD though. I saw Talladega Nights and I was not impressed at all. I liked most of his other movies though, just didn't think Ricky Bobby was overall that great.
 
I saw it last night with a bunch of friends. I really didn't expect too much, but I laughed my head off. Come on guys, lighten up... it's a stupid movie.
 
eh.. im getting sick of all these will farrell movies. Anchorman was funny, but the rest have just been going down hill. His style of acting gets old pretty damn quick, and taladega nights was just lame.

Ferrell is okay as long as he's not playing the typical lameass Will Ferrell role. He was good in Elf and in Stranger than Fiction because he wasn't playing his normal character. Blades looks like a return to the same style of role he played in Anchorman and Talladega Nights. It was moderately funny the first time, Anchorman was decent. Talladega was annoying because it was just more of the same and Blades looks even worse.

My favorite WF movie is Old School. His characters work a lot better when part of the group as opposed to the focus point. With that being said, Elf and StF were both awesome.
 
Wow...onto 3 pages now and, not including me, only 2 people can spell. Incredible...

btw - saw the movie myself last night and it was full of laughs, sometimes people just need to appreciate movies for what they are and are intended to be. Of course it isn't supposed to be Oscar worthy, that's nearly the point.
 
I saw it Thursday and laughed my ass off.

Like any other art, movies are subjective. If you don't like it, that's fine.

I think Andy Warhol was a no-talent assclown, but that doesn't make him any less of an artist or mean that people can't enjoy and appreciate his work.
