Blade Runner

Blade Runner sucked

I'm not trying to start a flame war because I know it's popular, but I just don't get why. The whole movie felt off and seemed rushed and all over the place. Maybe it's because I read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep first but I just don't get why anybody holds it in high regard.

So, you always check to see if a movie you have never seen is in print first and read the print before seeing the movie?

A lot of people take a movie at face value without any necessary precondition of comparing it to any printed work. Of course, in print before film that typically always leads to the movie not coming close to satisfaction of interpreting the written word as one's mind interprets them.

I though the removal of the Chinese from 2010 to be disheartening, but considering the film probably had 10-10x more viewers than readers ... the commercial effort stood on its on.

And while I watched Blade Runner before I read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, the movie, IMHO, stood on its own (original theatrical version). Then again, I wasn't trying to place the film and book on a valuation scale.

Rushed?? The movie moves along at a very slow pace for most of it.

The scenes tend to be very long compared to todays standards.

Call it long and boring, but rushed is never a word I would use to describe it.

Fine, not rushed... but I didn't think the scenes flowed well.

hmmm so on the subject... any other good bounty hunter-type movie recommendations? Other than Midnight Run, I mean.

they'll end up screwing it up by either introducing zombies, vampires, or aliens. Ala Indiana Jones for refrence.

Blade Runner was not and is not typical holywood. Its big budget Film Noir, and the directors cut is probably my favourite movie of all time - not the version with the over dub - that just KILLED the movie.
