Because you can't even mention black people in this country without being branded a racist, unless you're black yourself, that is. Then you can call everybody you know "n*****" all day long.
 
Edit-Okay, I'm fine with this post if the point of this thread was to call out the other thread. I thought that one was stupid as well.

so true. i love it when someone says something like "blackman walked passed me" then ATOT screams racist. i guess just saying "black" and "man, person" in the same sentence is racist
 
The Mexicans have almost replaced the blacks in New Orleans after Katrina. They all came over from Texas to do the dirty work of rebuilding that noone else seems willing to do.
 
My main point of contention would be that the two threads aren't really comparable...Chinese/Japanese are ethnicities, while black is a race. Now if you'd said Colombians vs. Mexicans, or Nigerians vs. Ethiopians, then it'd be fine.

nothing he said was even racist.....i mean if i created a thread that said "redheads vs. burnettes, which are better" i guess i would be branded a racist as i am comparing 2 types of people:disgust:
 
I bet that a lot of the people who got on this thread are happy before it got locked down by the mods for racism.
 
I like how very few people have posted an actual answer, but the poll is starting to have a very clear result. (disregarding the third option)

Where exactly in my reply did I mention that this thread was in any way racist? I was simply saying that while I recognized the OP's (possible) intention of attempting to mirror the Chinese/Japanese poll, he made a fundamental error in the type of comparison chosen (i.e. comparing a race to an ethnicity rather than race to race or, as in the original thread, ethnicity to ethnicity).

So African American (often referred to as blacks by americans) isn't an ethnicity?
