my wife is an RN and quite often works in the intensive care peds units. She always dreads getting the african american kids due to dealing with the parents. The parents think the hospital is a motel, demanding a place to sleep while they stay with their kids and on more then once instance, my wife was yelled at because she wouldn't ask them to bring up coffee with the child's meal. As for tipping, the people waiting tables are very underpaid; it's expected for them to make up their wages, by receiving tips. Right or wrong, that's the system.
