Hello there,

While the chances are pretty slim, anyone Blackrock Employees on this forum? Had questions about doing fulltime in their Global Client Group (front office relationship management role) vs PAG ( Portfolio Analytics, Risk Management role ).. My goal is to learn about markets and asset classes in detail.. I've heard GCG lacks quantitative stuff while PAG is more IT based.. Any advice?

My sister and some friends of mine got moved to BlackRock after they bought out Merrill Lynch's Investment Mgmt arm (pre-BOFA merger) and they absolutely HATED the culture and the company as a whole. AFAIK all of the ML employees that I know that got transferred, soon quit and moved on to other companies.

Akshatp, I'm surprised actually because compared to previous companies I've interned at, i think Blackrock has a great culture ( very flat, executives are accessible and even though everyone works banking hours, it seems like a good place to be ).. Could you detail what they didnt like?
