I leave it up to you guys.

I am going to Harrah's tomorrow with $300 in my pocket and depending whether I win or lose, I will either be living with my old 19" crt monitor or a brand new Dell 18" monitor with a deal I found at the "hot deals" forum. If I can only make a hundred or so I will grab the 15"(which I can basicly afford right now).

I feel like I'm due to win a couple grand at the craps table although I always seem to make money at blackjack.

You could always go in, lay down the $300 on one hand of blackjack. You win, you leave, you lose, you leave ;)

A few hours of blackjack has decent odds of getting you some cash.

How much are you going to lose before you bail? How much will you win before you bail?

Blackjack is the ONLY game at the casino that you can actually win at.

And that is only if you are extremely good, can do mad math in your head, and work with a team.

But yah, play blackjack. All the other ones are completely luck based.

I always preferred blackjack since it actually requires thought and strategy. The house advantage in blackjack is pretty small (< 1%) if you know how to play correctly. The odds of winning at craps are still pretty good though. I just don't like it as much since it is all based on the luck of the roll.....a good social game though.

$300 is my limit of loss. I leave checks, credit cards, debit cards at home when I hit the casino.

The limit of how much I win depends on my luck. If I keep winning I go with it.. got $900+ a few months ago. Won about $250 last week. The key for me is seeing when I am starting to lose and being able to step away. I've learned to stop after I get a target amount. If I hit $500 tomorrow, I am stopping and going home and ordering the new 18" LCD monitor.

I've probably queered all my luck just by talking about this stuff. ;)

there is a big misconception about craps not being a good game to play, with proper betting the odds can get down to 1/10 of 1% against the player, best odds in Vegas.
If you are going to play 21 go get a strategy card and use it. Sit it right on the table and go by what it tells you, dont give them your money without a figtht.
Set a loss limit and when you double your money get out and stay out.

If you have time to learn, Blackjack. I tripled my money in one hour night in Reno. I ate pretty well that night too.
If you dont have time, Craps, Pass Line bets + 2x odds on bet. Its the bet with the least thinking, and one of the best bets in WHOLE casino. Its a great social game, become the shooter, don't crap out, everyone loves ya. Crap out, you lose your friends, you lose the dice.

EDIT: Theres always the $300 on RED/BLACK on a roulette if you really want to push your luck.

I actually did that exact bet once. When I was travelling back to IL from Cali, crying my eyes out about my ex-fiance, and really didn't want to spend a lot of time in the casino. Went into the first big casino over the border, put up my $300 bet, won, and walked away a winner.

Went further north, stayed at the CasaBlanca in Mesquite, Nevada for the night. Had a $10 surf and turf(steak and lobster tail), 3 beers, and I went over and won enough at Blackjack to pay for dinner, the beers and my hotel room with $50 to spare. It was like God was escorting me away from that vile woman.

Do I believe in luck? Yes.

Craps. if you find a good shooter then you're set. unless you find a horrible shooter (hits the point, and then rolls a seven), run. That's why i always pass when it's my turn to shoot. I made $200 with $10/$12 bets in 10 mins. :)

That's the beauty of craps... you can make mad money in a relatively short period of time providing you have a good roller. You can also get gutted like a pig.

Maybe I will play the slots.
