Another thing to remember. Our military is HEAVILY investing in technology. We are using technology to make our troops safer. Did you see the scopes that were being used in Afganistan? Our soldiers could go into to caves and see if people had been in the area the past 30 minutes. The scope could see variations of surface temperature.
Our military invests in so much technology, it is insane. This just happens to be an area where all the investment would not save that many lives. We could take that money and invest in other areas that would in the long run save even more lives. We can't have everything.
