blackberry tour cant get on web sometimes

i live in the financial district of san francisco where the verizon 3g signal is very strong but sometimes my tour cant get on the web. it will just keep saying "requesting..." and then time out and eventually say "cant get on web try again later". this happens frequently enough that i know verizon isnt down. is there a known issue with tour being unable to get on the web sometimes. verizon said that it sometimes helps to turn off and turn on the radio but that didnt seem to help. i have the latest software updates btw

does reseating the battery help? i thought someone in another thread mentioned something like that

Have you tried Opera to see if it's a browser issue?

no do you think it might not be more of a connection issue? do you have tour with opera and not have this problem?

i just tried to download. it just says "requesting..." so it wont even let me get it

Does your 1XEV indicator on top of the phone have an uppercase EV, or a lowercase ev when this happens.

Here's how it goes:

1XEV -> EVDO present, and connection to BB servers
1Xev -> EVDO present, no connection to BB servers (note lowercase)

1X -> 1X RTT present, connection to BB servers
1x -> 1X RTT present, no connection to BB servers

Usually in the case of the lowercase a battery pull can help. At least that's what I have to do occasionally.

Happens to me all the time on my Tour, drives me nuts. A battery pull always fixes it.
