Anyone that has a BB storm, when you click on the edge of the touchscreen, like on the space key in landscape mode or the backspace key, or anything near the edge, does it not "click" as firmly as it does in the center?

This is driving me crazy and i'd like to take it back to the store but if another phone is going to do the same thing it's almost no point.

it really makes typing faster a little more difficult for me. Sometimes I can't totally feel that i pressed space or backspace quite as firmly.

Yea i've read up on some of the "fixes" people have for it. I actually did stick a piece of an old credit card under the battery and it fixed the issue. The clicks on the edges felt great.
I took it out because I was worried that putting that much pressure on the back cover/on the screen is a good idea in the long run. It was very tight to get the back cover on once I had put the piece of plastic under the battery.

I'd like to know if all of them have the issue or if it's certain ones. If i can get it replaced in the store and correct the issue i'd rather do that.

I never noticed a problem with mine but still did the paper trick under the battery just to test, it was a bit easier to type/hit those areas but even without I don't have a problem.

Well i returned it. There were too many negatives for me with the phone, I'll just hold out for the 9630 "niagara" whenever that will be released.

Strange... this seems to be a real problem in the touchscreen area... either you get it right, or tricks have to be done to ensure the battery is forced.

I originally had to do that with my Samsung Glyde - put a few squares of electrical tape on top of one another, and put it on the battery cover. Improved touch screen response quite a lot.
