The build quality is way higher than the P1. The new keyboard is very nice with secure buttons, not 'floaty' as the P1 was, and they have a really sure click.

I was wondering the same thing. i was thinking about picking up one of the referbished pearls offered by ATT, but I don't care to spend an extra $30+ a month for the data plan. This new version seems to have fixed most of the major issues with the original version so it looks like it might be worth waiting for.

PDA function, mostly. What is it that you need beyond a 'Dumbphone'? That will answer the question of whether it can do anything for you or not.

edit: the real intartubes would be nice. as would a bigger screen for streaming TV. the fact that you have to pay for the email service makes service much more expensive than it otherwise would be, though.

Well I have the Gmail client on my BB which uses the regular data, and when at home goes over the WiFi.

My BB is also on a BES, so it costs me nothing, but I understand the issues.

The Sprint service is going to have Sprint TV on the Sprint P2.

Who the frick cares about wifi? With sprint vision, I'm online 24x7 and its fast. Wifi is good at home or the occasional coffee shop, but who cares, its not worth it

GPS much much more practical imho.
