LG VX9800 was -$75 w/2-year contract on Amazon up until recently...I imagine the VX9900 will be free pretty soon...

Obviously you never used earlier BBs. You wanna talk slow? Apply the DST update patch to a 7290. Fun fun. Most recent WinMo devices are just as stable as recent BBs. Most people's problems stem from installing crappy freeware apps on their phones that screw everything up.

Both RIM and MS have made improvements in areas they needed help. BB with more consumer friendly features and speed, WM with stability and speed. WM6 is a huge improvement in speed as well.

As long as we're griping, I don't know how you can stand using that crappy Pearl keyboard. :laugh:

Also, just checked out BGR, and the 8320 won't have GPS...oh well, back to waiting for my perfect phone to come out...

Our 8830 has GPS, but no camera and no wifi. I think you'll have to wait till Q3/Q4 before Verizon Wireless offers a BlackBerry with camera and GPS, but don't hold your breath for wifi.

TMobile sucks and doesn't have a high speed network. Plus I'm often in the bowels of client sites where there's no cell coverage, but they have Wifi. And I barely get TMo coverage in my apartment. So Wifi comes in handy for email in those situations.

GPS, although I have a BT GPS, is less useful for me, because it's nearly impossible to get a fix in Manhattan...at least with my cheapo GPS module. When travelling, I use the BT GPS all the time, though.

I hated my Pearl...went back to my Treo 650 and couldn't be happier. The GF also switched from that to a MDA. (She's on it constantly for her practice and just hated almost everything about the Pearl)

My 8800's GPS worked great both on the L in Chicago and downtown.

I just got a Pearl and so far really like it.

I tried the Samsung Blackjack (WMO) and it was HORRIBLE. So SLOW especially when WMP running in the background.

Switched to the BB Pearl and its hands down the best phone I have ever laid my hands on. You will get used to the trackball within a few hours of use.

IMO, the only thing it lacks is support for a BT stereo headset, but I have my iPod to listen to music...
