blackberry brandy

once, quite some time ago, i thought blackberry brandy would taste good. we bought a bottle and passed it around. that stuff is the worst and i can still conjure up the taste of it and feel how terrible it was going down.

what liquor/liquour/whiskey/alcoholic beverage can you not drink anymore because of a past bad experience?

In HS some friends and I slept out to get good tickets for the Kinks because they were favorite band of one guy in our group. We froze our asses off, but wound up with 6th row center. The #1 Kinks fan got insanely wasted on vast quantities of blackberry brandy during the warm-up band, passed out in a puddle of his own vomit, missed the show entirely and we had to carry him to the car. To this day he'll get sick if he even smells blackberry brandy.

The sickest I ever got was on tequila and beer, but I can still drink tequila and beer. Just not to excess.

i am feeling that blackberry brandy experience.

we did a "mexican night" one weekend, tekillya and coronas. overdid the tequila b/c we got the body shots going and who can resist that? i haven't drank tequila since.

Private Cellar. We used to do cheap whiskey nights when I lived in the dorms. That shit would eat through the paper cups we used. There would be piles of puke that smelled just that it in the halls every Wednesday morning. It broke me from ever really enjoying any whiskey ever.

A friend dies of cancer at 20 and a mutual friend and I downed a liter of Jegermeister in about an hour.

I can't even smell it without getting nauseous and it's 14 years after the fact.

Any kind of sweet liquor is terrible. I can't do anything sweeter than Irish whiskey.

that reminded me Wild Irish Rose liquor... we took that in a flask to the movies. really badass stuff.

Blackberry Wine is very good. I don't have much Hard Liquor experience, but sweet Liquors are not meant to get blitzed on. My dad, being proudly Hungarian, used to buy this Hungarian Golden Pear Liquor. Stuff was delicious and when I was 10/11 would snuck a small hooch a few times.

Try some Chambord

I have a miniature of that in the fridge. An old girlfriend left it here a few years ago. I can't throw it out because I have a hard time wasting things, but I can't drink it because it's too sweet :^D

Not sure what it taste like, but just have a little at a time. Might go well drizzled on Cheesecake or some other desert.

Well, of course it's sweet. It's a dessert liqueur. There are a few drinks you can make with it; add it to champagne or splash it into some OJ.

I wouldn't throw it away. It's great for what it is. We always have one of the big bottles in our cabinet.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I'll try to remember it next time I get something like that. It'll free up a few square inches in my fridge :^D

hehe, it gave me an idea. I have some Cuban Cafe Rum Licor and just put some on Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. It's awesome!
