BlackBerry and Gmail question...

I have my BB set up for 2 gmail accounts. Everything works fine except when I sent mail out from my BB or from my account online I get the "sent" message. So I get both the incoming and sent messages to my BB. Anyway to make it so the "sent" items don't get sent to my BB?

You can go into General Options under the message screen and just have it hide the sent message. It is pretty aggravating though.

I wouldn't know how to set up my Curve for IMAP. I just set it up the normal way, and when done that way there is no way to avoid getting your sent messages as far as I can tell. On the plus side, it acts as a confirmation that your email successfully made it into the system and you can easily review what you sent.

Download the app.

i've been wondering this as well. maybe i'll check out the gmail app, but i sort of like everything coming into my "messages" and not having to deal with another seperate app. *shrug*

i have the same problem. i would like to know why it only does it with gmail. i have a yahoo account and my curve is hooked into our BES and this issue only happens with sending gmail....

Just leave the app open and don't exit. Gmail with notify you of a new message. Just click the Blackberry menu button then scroll down to the app. Simple as that. I like it since I use my BB for work as well. One inbox for work, one for Gmail.

log onto BIS/BES and add a filter for emails from you own address

Winnar!

Set up a filter on your providers BIS/BES website to filter out messages from "me".
