I have sprint.. i think i'm gonna make the switch too.. i like how you can actually surf the web on a blackberry.. instead of the ghetto web browser on my sprint phone that is freakishly slow.

Those are pretty sweet pics.. don't know if you can tell by them but the screen has a really nice resolution for the size of the device.
Shannon had a demo 7100 that i got to play with and it is sweet.

Hey Rootax.. can you post a pic of what AOL IM looks like on there. I didn't get a chance to check that out and was wondering what it looked like.

Sure thing. I don't have AOL though so i just took a shot of the main IM screen.
They're on the same link as above. The camera really didn't capture the nice screen - either that or i'm using the wrong settings :)

Just talked to Shannon a couple of times, and she really knows her stuff.

She needs to sell 6 more of these today to meet her month's quota! I might buy two (just waiting to hear back from "headquarters") so someone else needs to help her out!

T-Mobile Corporate is running a blackberry special today and tomorrow only.

Give Shannon a call if you want to sign up.

New special running until end of April.

Currently aren't running any specials on Treos. Shannon typically won't sell a Treo to a business account just because they have so many problems.

meant to post about this but forgot. I had trouble reaching Shannon, turned out I had left garbled VM so she couldn't call me back. I eventually went to the business section of the tmobile site called a number I found there and the CSR sent me a free Blackberry. I signed up for a year deal, got the BB and another cheapie phone, out the door for $20. sounds good to me.

Yeah you can go through any business rep at T-Mobile to get the Blackberry deals. Just not a store or online. I put Shannons info here because she does get some commission and it's a pretty hot deal.

How much is the service monthly? I am not familiar with the service you need - is is a # minute phone plan + wireless?

If you go to T-Mobiles website it shows you the available service plans for individuals.

You can choose to use a blackberry as a data only device though. If you were going to do this i would recommend getting the 7230 for 20 bucks. That is a steal and it has a full QUERTY keyboard. I think you can get an unlimited data only plan for like 29.99 per month.

I've been corresponding with her via email. My family plan doesn't end until October 2005, so I can't activate a new subscription. But she did offer me the following if I went with the $19.99/month data addon:

$225 for the 7100t
$100 credit to my account

Still thinking about it....so tempting

Is it neccessary to upgrade to the Yahoo Plus! account ($20/year) in order to access emails with the BB 7100t?

gleong,

I went with the add-on myself. Much cheaper than getting the regular data plan but with basically the same benefits.

I don't use Yahoo so i don't know. I have my own mail server and have set-up one of my addresses to forward to the blackberry e-mail address they give you. This makes receiving mail on my device instantaneous as opposed to having your Blackberry e-mail poll your other addresses (which introduces between 5-15 minutes of delay).

Thanks for the info. With Yahoo, you can only set it to forward emails with the premium Plus service, so I guess i'll have to upgrade.
