I have the entire series on DVD. LOVE IT!!!

I used to watch the Young Ones too...along with Faulty Towers, Monty Python, etc.
The Young Ones are a bit too...uncoordinated, in my opinion. I like things with a plot, and more sophisticated humour.

Blackadder is a classic. So are Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister, and Only Fools and Horses, and A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and Monty Python, and Fawlty Towers...

Man, there are so many good British comedies...

"You know, my Dad was a nun"
"No, he wasn't"
"He was too, sir. Cause whenever he was up in court and the judge asked 'occupation', he'd say 'none'."

You sir, need to watching "I'm Alan Partridge" It doesn't seem to have made the trip across the pond yet, but is an absolute English classic.

BlackAdder is hella old, but stands tall as a classic. It perhaps only adds to the charm that quite often the lighting and whatnot is sort of subpar.

Another huge thumbs up to Black Books and the IT Crowd 🙂

Agreed! Love them both, don't forget spaced.

I'll have to check that out. Love British humor since Monty Python's Flying Circus. I used to watch The Young Ones and The British Comic Strip on MTV in the 90's.

The British Comic Strip was really out there, every episode went off on a tangent. There was one that spoofed "For a Few Dollars More". Another one was an on-campus college experiment regressing back to cave man times.

Love Blackadder, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, and Spitting Image. Still think it's a pity that they stopped making that last one 🙂

For those that don't know the show, Spitting Image made fun of everything basically, mostly UK politics and royals, but also stupid but still popular music and lots of 'stars'.

Monty Python never lit me up however. Strange because I loved a Quebec lawyer comedy troupe formed around the same time and with the same kind of humour.

I never liked the show. Some of my friends worshipped the show, I just never found it that funny. I called it "wack"adder

I love Blackadder & have the DVDs.

In addition to the already mentioned british comedies, anyone else a fan of Mind Your Language?

That was a different series, Time Team, where he would go and excavate locations in about a week and cover it back up after they were done.
