It's friday, the weather is depressing and L. Nimoy just left us so after work I'm going home and my understanding wife is letting me watch what I want to watch tonight. I really feel like a "good" 40s through 60s sci-fi movie. My favorite is "THEM!" (Nimoy had a bit part) but I've seen it way too many times. Other favorites include "It! Terror from Beyond Space" ... where you can use granades and bazookas in space and everything will be alright.

Any recommendations?

Thanks all ...

here are some good ones:

Earth vs The Flying Saucers
20 Million Miles to Earth
The Thing (From Another World)
It Came From Outer Space
The Monolith Monsters
The Creature From The Black Lagoon
Mighty Joe Young
King Kong

I know of others that aren't that good but are still fun like Godzilla, It Came From Beneath The Sea, Fiend Without a Face, etc...

The Mist (in the black and white version)

Honestly black and white movies never did it for me. I find them to be bland and missing...color. Which isn't as sarcastic as it may sound. I simply do not enjoy them, then again though, Clerks is one of my top 10 movies. So maybe it's more related to the period than black and white.
