in win xp pro after there logo appears i see a black screen with the muse cursor i can move it but not sure what is causing it.
 
Try booting in VGA mode, see what happens. If you get a usable display, uninstall those nvidia drivers and try another version.
 
Do youhave onboard video as well? I used to have an onboard videocard as well as an agp card, and it played hell unless i disables the onboard video through the bios.
