Amazon has the black edition of the Moto Razr free after rebate.

Can someone, who has bought the RAZR from amazon.com, tell me about the contract period. Is it one or two years?

Also besides aesthetics, what are the differences between the black RAZR and the regular RAZR?

I believe Cingular contracts are usually two years? FAR for a phone like this... i'm BETTING it's 2 years.
 
Cingular "makes" most all of the online retailers sign you up on a 2-year plan. Some sites let you sign a 1-year, but you end up paying more for the phone. 😛

2-yr contract in totally GAY. i still prefer TMobile where they let u 1-yr with free phones
 
Cingular pushes 2 year, T-Mobile pushes 1 year. I have better reception with T-Mobile here anyway.. (too bad i dropped my phone so much my reception is dead alot now)

I have a regular razr that I got in january. A friend of mine got the black on a week ago and they exactly the same except the black razor has a video camera feature and the silver razor doesn't.
 
TMobile will be adding the Razr to its lineup of phones in August.

Cingular service is not good. They are overloaded. Merging with AT&T did not help.

Verizon is the best carrier, period.

My plan with TMobile is great. 1000 nationwide minutes, free nights and weekends for $49.99. Eligible for discount on new phone every 12 months. Got a fine deal on last upgrade. In November I'll see what kind of deal I can get on a RAZR. The RAZR has a zoom for its camera. Their new Sprint phone has a megapizel camera.

Couple more years the phone cameras will all be megapixel.

If you are willing to put up with Cingulars fair-to-poor service, the free RAZR is a good deal....
 
I've had my silver Razr for 5 days now, I've upgraded the firmware and flex and enabled the Video. There is a ton you can do with this phone. http://www.motomodders.com

Very nice design, small, light, and very nice looking. But not as rugged as my i90 was with Nextel. Oh well, too bad they wouldn't offer me new phones with renewing my contract.

I'm evaluating their service in my area. I have like 15 more days to return it.
 
The silver v3 will be coming to t-mo soon and the black v3 will be a three month exclusive for cingular. They are both exactly the same and both can be moddified to take video.


And who cares where one carrier works and another doesn't? Each persons situation will be unique.
