Black or Beige Antec SX1030 Case?

I'm trying to decide now which color Antec case to go with. I know.. I'm a loser for asking this. 😉

Since the 1030 has a cover for the drives, it's not that important if you put beige drives in a black case. There still is the question on how good a black case would look with a beige monitor or other peripherals.

What are owners of black 1030's doing for other components? Are you mixing and matching or trying to match everything to the black?

What was your reason for buying a beige or buying a black 1030 case?

Are black cases a fad right now that I'm missing?

The SX830 would be so much easier because I wouldn't have to make the color decision; it only comes in beige. 😉

Um.. I personally like it.. I don't really care what color my other components are. I have an old desk that's a brown wood (fake) type color, monitor/accessories are beige.

However, my room is all black furniture including my fan, and my klipsch sit around me, so the black (not grey) looks pretty nice. I really like it, the case is also high quality.

The only thing I think though is that the black is more of a rough texture than the grey (I could be wrong), which means you have to clean once in awhile so it doesn't look like ass. 🙂 If ya want pictures PM me..
 
I went with the black because it matched my black keyboard along with the klipsch promedia speakers...I also think black looks alot more sharp than the beige.
btw.the shade on the SX1030B isn't a real night black. It's more of a charcoal grey colour.
 
My life changed when I bought a sx1030b, women, respect, self-worth. Seriously, get the black if you think it looks better and is worth the few extra dollars, which I would say it is. Buying black peripherals only is going to limit your choices significantly, unless you buy black face plates and such separately.

And if it'll make your choice easier, I beleive the sx830 is very similar, only being a little shorter with one less 5.25" bay. I haven't actually seen one yet, so I'm not positive.

Imagine the difficulty of buying an imac.
 
Well here is something to wet your appetite for the 1030 it comes in BLUE also. I have seen it in the store at Frys, but it might be hard to find online. As for the size the 830 and 1030 are the excact same size. The 830 has 8 drive bays and the 1030 has 10.
 
I bought a "Black" SX1030 because I am sick of beige. Plus the SX1030 has a door on it to hide your "beige" peripherals. Besides black goes with any color and lets face it-Once you've had black, you wont go back😛.
 
I have a black one. Like you said, there is a drive door so the drives don't matter. Mine is on the floor anyway, so the color of the other components doesn't affect it much. Even if it did, I don't think they will clash much. I think that different shades of beige all over your desk looks worse than beige with black to temper it a little. Does anyone understand what I'm saying? 😕
