Black Ops

I wanted to know, whether I should upgrade my processor, or my video card. I'd like to play this dang game, (Black Ops) without any lag! Anywho.. this is what I got.

Compaq-Presario model no. AY138AA-ABA CQ5320Y
3.00 GB RAM.. 64-bit operating system

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 240 Processor

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

If more info is needed. to make a better judgement, let me know. Thanks in advance!!!

p.s. Sorry if I put this in the wrong place.. I'm new, and am feeling my way around 🙂

Video card, you might have issues with that power supply in a Compaq Presario though.

I don't know what modern video card uses the least power, but that will be a priority for you. Your processor is fine.

Thanks NoSoup and Durvelle. I had no idea which would need to be replaced.. I'm fairly new at gaming online. I mostly stay on the ps3. Again.. thanks!!!

So I got a new graphics card, XFX R6670 Core Edition. I had to get a dvi to vga adapter in the process, and when I installed it.. my monitor would not display in either the vga, or the dvi plug in. Anywho, when I took the card out, and plugged it straight to the vga, the monitor displayed again. I'm not quite sure what the issue is.

I disabled it.. and I'm still getting the same problem with the monitor not working, while the new card is in there.
