It's the correct download if that's what you're asking? Seems people are getting better speeds with the .torrent now than with the Shacknews link, which is obviously being hammered!

The link from the Black Mesa page is trying to take me to gameupdates.org which is getting destroyed obviously, not kat.ph. Just making sure it's not a fake link.

Of course its legit and yes its free and its a mod

The torrent file is right there on their website, just an easier way to get it since its so popular

I'm not exactly sure how trackers work, but I assumed any on reddit would have a ridiculous number of leechers. I just used the kickasstorrents link and the torrent downloaded at my max speed, done in an hour.

Damn, says I have to install source sdk 2007. I thought having L4D2/TF2 installed would be enough.

edit: weird, the download started 2.5gbs in, only going to take a few minutes to finish.

It looks like the 2006 is required as well. Got the 2007 installed. Not sure how to launch this mod yet. Maybe it appears on the game list once everything is downloaded. Or is an option in-game? I don't ever play mods. lol.
