Black label fans and KT7 Fan Headers

Just out of curiousity, does anyone know if the fan headers on the KT7 can handle the draw of the 60 mm Black label 37cfm fans? I'd like to put one on my FOP-32, but I really like my RPM monitoring 😉

I would not do it unless you want to risk a burnt fan header. I think the Delta pulls 4 watts. You could always run just the RPM monitoring wire to a 3 pin plug and stick it in the mobo fan header. It should work to monitor you RPM's while the Delta with an adapter is connected to your power supply.

it's one of them 3 wires that comes off the fan...hehe I think it's the middle one (yellow one?) oh heck, I dunno...hehe

The KT7 can do 12v at .5A, so it can give 6 watts. I don't know the exact specs on the fan, but just be sure the fan doesn't draw more than .5 amps and you should be fine.

Maniac is right, most motherboards I wouldn't do this but the KT7 does output 6W. I have had no trouble running my Delta off the fan header.

Thanks for that reply, the Delta pulls .32 amps and 3.84W, so it should work fine on the KT7 fan headers. 😉
