1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

Desktop PC for Diablo 3 Multi-boxing (4 instances of Diablo 3 playing at 1 time)

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

$500-750

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

US

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

Whatevers Fastest

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

I have no parts to use

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

Default speeds or will buy already overclocked

8. What resolution will you be using?

Doesn't matter but probably will have 2 monitors up

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Note that it is usually not cost or time effective to choose your build more than a month before you actually plan to be using it.

On or before Black Friday

X. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?

No software needs to be purchased

Side Note: Will also be possibly using machine to run VMWare ESXi from time to time for personal use (5-10 VMs)

Diablo 3? People still play that game? :D

What resolution do you run your Diablo instances at? That determines how much we need to spend on GPU.

Awesome! Thanks for the info :)

Noob question:

If I have an old case (5ish? years old) can I just use that... or will I need a newer one?

and

Could I get 8GB more RAM for 10$ more? (is this the same RAM?)

Thanks!

Depends on what exact case you have, but likely yes.

As for the RAM, the build as is has 16GB total (8GB free with mobo, extra 8GB bought separately). Yes you could add a 16GB kit to the free 8GB kit to get 24GB total, but I don't think it's really necessary.

You realize that you're going to have to dual-boot ESXi and have another computer to run the VMWare console right? Not to mention an HDD dedicated to VMFS. If you want to play around with VMs, VMWare Workstation is a better choice.
