Black Chieftec (SX 1030B) on Sale at newegg

Actually, it has NO power supply. I ordered one anyways, because Newegg just hasn't had the IBM Black Chieftech cases with a good (> 300w) PS recently, so I'll just stick in a 350w or 400w Antec supply separately. Good case, good lookin too.
 
Oops. I misread, and thought it was the same as the other model. Thanks for catching that. Still a good deal for those who want to drop in their own power supplies.

Hellyea it is. That is a very high quality powersupply.
 
I got my Chieftec DX-01W (SX840) from newegg yesterday. It only included 5 drive rails instead of 6. I guess one fell out when they were packing it or something. I need to call newegg and see if they can send me one.
 
Tigerbait: Check the right side between the motherboard tray and the side cover. I had the same thing and did a little searching and found them, they seem to fall out of the holders during transit.
 
I got this case with the Enhance 300w PS and it was so damn loud I couldn't stand it. So I bought a 400w Antec and popped it in and it is better, but still way too loud for my taste.
 
I musta got lucky! Ordered mine (no PS) on 4/8, it shipped 4/9, and arrived 4/12.
Case in excellent shape, but missing one drive rail.
Transferred components from my old WindTunnel II yesterday, and now my machine looks like a million bucks!

IBM Black is the ONLY way to go!
 
We were all that once.....look at me, I don't think anyone has as few posts as I do that has been here that long! 😉

BTW, FYI, Geeks usually has Leadman 6100C 300 watt P4/Athlon dual fan power supplies for ~$20. They are out right now though.

i was just about to jump on this when i saw the other thread for cybperpowerpc (i think.. i'm tired and too lazy to find the link) for the same case with a 425 W ps for $55

less reputable dealer though..

Mark I searched all forums for 90 days for *cybperpowerpc* and no thread was listed with that word in it. So...must be something else. Were you in on the thread? If so, I could search for your handle (not many posts to search through, eh? 😉
