Black case vs beige case

I never had a black one before, which do you favor?
Thinking about getting myself one cause right now all I have is beige case 🙁
 
Black. All the way! Beige is so boring. But really only looks good if your monitor, keyboard and case are all black. I use a IBM monitor, logitech key/mouse, case,.. lamp, stereo, tv, dtv, vcr, ps2, dell notebook, book shelf... HELL! all my electronics are BLK
 
It's what's inside that counts! You should not buy a case for its color, that's incidental. Your money should go into a GOOD case. One that will last through several upgrades. It must be sturdy, rolled edges, easy access drive bays, lots of fan options, air filter(s), reinforced PS mount. And with BTX just around the corner, maybe one of the new ATX/BTX boxes.

Don't get a case just because it has a power supply included - chances are it is underrated and noisy (electrically and sonically) and just thrown in to sucker someone into buying the case.

After you are certain all that is addressed properly, then go for looks.

Besides, unless you are going to be carting the PC around showing it off, you are likely to tuck it away someplace.

Having said all that, I just built a new PC for the wife and bought the Antec Sonata - it if gorgeous! Piano black, as it is described, and it does shine. But, except for the BTX support, it met all my requirements first. Note that the optical drives and internal 3.5 Card Reader did cost a few bucks more in black.

Black with beige drives is teh worst evar though 😛
I am tired of spending more for damn black drives, so my next case is going to have a door, so what's behind won't matter 🙂
 
i have a combo lookin thingy, but i'd still call it black, its the Kingwin K-11something BK, its silver in the front, drive bays are black, and the rest of the entire outside is black, heck the inside is even painted black.
 
Stay with beige. Black is the "new beige". Beige boxes got so boring because everyone had one, now that's the case with black.

Really, I don't care, get whatever you like best.

Beige puts me to sleep... I try to keep a black/silver combo going through my comp (my monitor and case are black with silver trim)
 
I like black, but I wouldn't pay more than $10 extra for it. The place I got my case had black at the same price, so I jumped.
 
I'm torn.

IMO, silver looks nicer and doesn't show dust or scratches as easily as black cases, but it's such a PIA to find silver / aluminum drives or to stealth them.
