Why do my playboy and my annual reports (various companies) both come in black bags? Are they afraid of people seeing what's inside?
 
it's for privacy, so your nosy neighbors won't know what the post man is delivering

kinda silly though, if that was the real reason you'd think they'd change the packaging every month
 
confidentiality. I can picture the funniest conversation tho

Neighbor 1: Wow, he must be doin some serious business or something...look at all those financial reports he gets.
Neighbor 2: Nah, he's just a pervert.
