I agree with some of that article because that was the feeling that I walked away with after watching the oscars. I agreed with the oscar for hallie barry and even the honorary one for Sydney, but I did not agree with denzel washingtons oscar (not that my opinion actually means anything 🙂 ) I kinda thought they might have just given it to him to round out the night. his preformance was good, but not that good.

Yep, your liberal/leftist friend is racial-profiler 😉. Based on the fact that I said that I'm careful when it comes to certain minority in Finland. I base that bias on the fact in the past several years, about 90% of my encounters with them has been negative in one way or another. It's only natural for one to become a bit careful after that.

Well yeah, it is. Because the next person you meet or are getting to know, you are prejudging. In essence, you are putting on blinders. You're cheating yourself. But there is racism and then there is racism. The literal transaltion and the hate crime. There are differences.
With that in mind, I will always look twice at a turban or apparent arab when boarding plane. That's in my system. I don't see it leaving anytime soon.
 
I wouldn't exactly consider one person's editorial grounds for an entire newspapers agreement. If some editorial writer for my local paper said that all deer hunters are gun toting savages (which has happened) and I agreed with it (which I don't) I wouldn't exactly say that the entire newspaper agrees with my views...just that editorial writer.

As for this guy. He just sounds bitter that whitey lost.

What he said was a minority group in his country not all members of that minority everywhere. He was specific for a reason.
