There's probably a very simple explanation for this and I'll feel really stupid when I hear it, but I have to ask anyway:
I use Hotmail and Yahoo for both email and other things, like Yahoo Groups. Lately when I try to login to Yahoo Groups, I just keep getting the same page over and over again -- the Log In page! At first I thought it was a problem with Yahoo because it happened no matter which Yahoo ID I tried to use. I go to the home page of any of the groups I belong to and try to sign in. After submitting the login info, I find myself back on the group's home page and it says "Welcome, guest!" even though I am a member and just signed in. And no matter how many times I sign in again, the same thing happens.
But then the same thing happened with MSN. I use the MSN Messenger service and get logged in there just fine, but if I try to check my Hotmail by clicking on the link at the top (You have 39 new messages") I get only to the sign-in page, and I sign in, and the same page keeps coming back - over and over and over!!
I've tried using both the Secure and the Standard sign-in modes with both of these. I made sure to enable cookies. I emptied the browser cache. I rebooted the computer. I went through all these steps over and over again. And I always get the same result. And you know how difficult it is to get a response from Yahoo or MSN about any problems...... I am right now missing a chat meeting that I wanted to attend, and my 2MB Hotmail space is filling p because I cannot go in there and clean out the Inbox.
I use Internet Explorer 6 with Windows 2000. Does anyone have any idea what's going on???:frown:
