This is really crazy, I can't imagine how Conlon must feel as a parent.

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/43984225/ns/today-today_people/

Cliffs: Guy was married to woman. Woman goes nuts at some point, and kills both young children in their sleep. She's found "not guilty by reason of temporary insanity" and after 4 years comes out of mental institution. Guy leaves woman, marries someone else, and has two sons. Guy then divorces the woman and decides to remarry the psycho. Since he has split custody of the kids, the two boys now live with the same psycho who killed her own children.

Just as the cherry on top, it seems the psycho is having "issues" again for which she's talking to a psychiatrist, who was concerned enough to contact children's services. Still, a court decided Conlon had to let her kids live with their dad and the psycho as part of their custody sharing.

How could a parent possibly be expected to simply drop off their kids with someone who previously murdered their own two children and continues to have "issues"?

I would tell the lady that if anything happened to either of the boys I would kill her myself.

I would go to jail before I would let her near them.

How do you possibly re-marry the woman who killed your children? And then you bring more children into it? I think the guy might need to speak to a psychiatrist too.

Holy crap, I think we've possibly located the stupidest person on the face of the Earth??

I don't think the threat of you harming her would do much to someone who already showed the willingness to kill her own two daughters. I agree with your sentiment, but I don't think it would be much of a deterrent when she "snaps" again at some point.

Ahh, the old "rehabilitation for murderers" trick again. Seriously folks, it just isn't worth it.

Temporary insanity is a bullshit defense in most cases. This woman has proven that she is incapable of living in our society. She should not be allowed near children or out of the mental ward at the local prison.

If she would have been convicted of molesting her daughters instead of killing them, no judge would let those boys live with her. But since she killed her daughters? Well that's A-Ok!

There should be a new verdict possible - "guilty and insane." Maybe serve a lesser sentence with mental help just the same as someone who was ruled not guilty because of temporary insanity, but forever branded as mentally unstable and thus permanently disallowed from things like custody of children, firearm ownership, etc.

Oh yeah and the dad should be ruled insane too for wanting to remarry his psycho wife. WTF.

I wonder what would happen if you flipped all the genders.

If they were my kids, I'd be on the run with them.

How the hell could a judge allow joint custody in a situation like this? o_O

This. That guy needs a shrink just as much as she does.

The whole family sounds nuts, throw some bleach on the gene pool ASAP. There should be some kind of mandatory castration law to stop crazy people from reproducing.

Lets see, a registered sex offender is not supposed to be around kids, but a convicted murder can?

We have some really messed up laws in this nation.

Screw that. That lady would not be anywhere near my kids. Who knows when she will go temporarily insane again.

Well technically she was found not guilty by reason of temporary insanity. So she's not a convicted murderer, she's just a person who at one point killed someone but the courts ruled that she wasn't in control of her own actions.

But yes, there are some messed up laws.

Lady is probably hot. People are willing to forgive hot women who kill kids. Look at Casey Anthony, who wouldn't hit that?
