Whenever I have bittorrent running, especially with two or more torrents going, it'll cause my modem to reset once every few minutes.

I'm using verizon dsl with a westell modem. Anyone know a fix?

some routers/modems can't handle too many global connections. My old netgear could do 250 (but dsl modem would sometimes reset) but my current dlink craps out at over 160 or so

wikipedia has a list of bad routers for torrent. they can't handle too many connections at once. u gotta limit it in the client.

Sounds like the modem can't handle it! I'd try a different model/make modem if u can.

Wow I have never had that problem, or any problem related to hardware with BT. It's usually a firewall/port issue.

Are you overclocking your modem? Might wanna try getting some better fans for your modem, I'd consider watercooling and peltier only if you're doing some serious overclocking.
