Why is it on small stuff I can get killer 80-150k down but when I am getting something big I do good to break 30k? I got all required ports forward and stuff. I use Azureus.
Any suggestions? I have 3mb down 256k up. I got my max upload to 13k which is about half my upload.
This isn't because the file is big. It is because smaller stuff generally has more seeds. Big stuff takes longer to download in generally so there are generally less seeds and more leechers.
Do a search on Google for "slow bittorrent speeds".
Basically, everything I've seen says to open and forward the appropriate ports. You might try using different port range than the normal 6881-6999 range. I've also seen that limiting your upload to 80% of your max upload may help with the DL speed.
