Everytime I try downloading something, after about 25 minutes my computer will reboot on its own. Anyone know or have any of the same problems?

my powersupply is fine. Only when running BT does my computer reboot. Happened like 7 times.

Yeah it is weird.

Every movie i've downloaded from BT has been choppy, messed up, or just been very ... weird.

what OS?
BT has varying problems, one of which is high CPU/mem usage. keep an eye on that, perhaps that is causing the reboot... but i wouldnt really know. maybe post in the softare forum or find a BT forum.

High cpu/mem? Not on mine ... it's never eaten up more than 2% (XP2100) and about 16MBs.

Update your NIC drivers ... there's an issue on the BT FAQ page with certain 3coms (IIRC)

LordSnailz and Timmeh have the right ideas...

Try other torrent links (from other sources) ... maybe it's exploiting a bug in a particular version of the BT client... and you can also try the experimental client (which I've been using for a month with no problems). Never had any problems with any of the clients, actually.

Using an experimental bit torrent program that lets me control upload rate...no problems.

No problems with the normal bit torrent either.

Nope. If your computer is randomly rebooting, you a) have a software problem, or b) have a hardware problem.

I'd check your components and make sure nothing is overheating.

Since you say it only happens with BT, which is a high bandwidth use, I'd guess that it is your NIC card.

CPU load??? It only use like 2-3% in mine and no more then 15Mb. Thats the older one though... I've heard they released a new ver. I was too lazy to download BT after a format.
