Looks good to me but personally I wouldn't touch an IBM drive with all the problems people are having with them.

You know, not everyone has been having problems with IBM drives. I've got a 75GB 75GXP that runs 24/7 as part of a network attached storage appliance, and there's been no problems with it so far. As for my main computer, I've got a Maxtor D740X-6L drive (40GB) that works wonders and is magically quiet, even though it's not the fluid bearing model. Well, either it's magically quiet or it's my power supply and case fans covering up the hard drive noise :D

In reference to the reported troubles with the IBM drives, I believe most of the problems centered on the 75GXP drives. You should be fine; IBM normally makes good quality drives.

No, IBM has problems with all their newer drives. I just would not go with them at the moment.

I have 2 60GXPs running in RAID 0. One of them died 3 months after purchase. The other one has been running fine with the replacement ever since.

I agree! Go with Maxtor or the WDxxxJB <--- with 8 MB cache. WD has 120JB, 100JB and whenever the 80JB comeout.
