I actually enjoy the older Audi interirors...but I could see how it could bother some...the new interiors are much more neutral..while keeping that classic "Audi Red" feel at the same time. I think it looks really nice.

I understand you guys' view. I hate any classic feel in car design, that's why those designs bother me.

Reference: I really loved new CR-V's interior when I drove it for a year or so. And I really like (might sound funny to some) Civic's digital gauge design, because it looks futuristic.

That would be a tough dilemma. That would be an impressive deal on the new model...but the 2008 seems like the best option if you can get it for that. Still relatively new with low mileage...and saving 8K vs. a similarly new one (albeit with AWD). Since you're considering the IS350, I'm assuming AWD is not that important for you.

I preferred AWD, but if there is no choice, I can pass on that one. I'd gladly use the difference to buy good set of snow tires :)

Yes...we definitely have different taste...but that is precisely why they make cars differently. :) I can thoroughly see why the G's interior would appeal to you.

Then I would definitely go with the 2008 as long as the car checks out and their are no major issue with interior or paint.

I would go for the G simply on the warranty basis. It doesn't matter if its lexus/infiniti whatever. You have no idea how hard it was driven in its previous life, if anything breaks within the first year or two you are covered. Worth it to me.

Let me carefully think about it.. Do you guys think if it's worth to try a lowball like $ 21k? And mention no trade-in for them to hassle?

What about mentioning a possible trade in...let them give you a sale number ($21k) and then telling them you've decided not to trade in the car. Might be a dick move and they may recant their $21k...but who knows. Car buying has a lot of dick moves going from both sides...

Yeah try this if you want, but only go for it if they take your lowball offer. Otherwise the G is the better deal

Whoever said IS350's are hard to find on the east coast, I feel your pain. I've been looking for months.

Test drove a 07 IS350 yesterday, 40k miles with X package. Asking price was 24k. Very clean, looked new inside and out, I'll probably put an offer in sometime this week. A few more actually appeared in the area this past week too... nothing for so long and now they are suddenly showing up everywhere!

And the dealer didn't bite my $ 21k. No surprise :) I will give them a week to see if they find a buyer for that IS. Meanwhile, I will shop around for G37 or IS350 around, including some Manheim's.

Id do that 08 RWD G37 any day of the week out of those cars. Of course I'm biased, but whatever.

For the reference, my 05 G coupe (RWD obviously) with 6MT and some Blizzak lm-22's on all 4 tires can plow through snow pretty well. I've heard the dunlop m3 sports are even better (and this was a year and a half ago, dunno if theres anything even better now).

Surely youve heard of Audi before? I can think of only a handful of Japanese cars in recent history with a good looking interior or exterior, lol. I love the way my VW has so many "neat-o" things that Ive never seen on other cars that make driving/living with it a complete joy.

Design is subjective.

Hmmmm...a lot of talk about car interiors...

I have never cared too much. The S2000 is pretty boring but very driver focused and bare bones.

My mates S3 was pretty 'boring' and most of the cars I have seen have pretty 'boring' interiors.

Compared to the G/A4/ it really isnt

I think it's significantly better than the G (friend has one). Don't know about the Audi though, never been inside an A4.

Unless you're talking about room or something, then the IS definitely loses. I don't care about having a roomy backseat though.
