Still doesn't change the fact that the Feagles lost, which is what 99% of NE fans were saying anyway. It wouldn't change the outcome and HEY LOOK, IT DIDN'T. THE EAGLES DID NOT WIN THE SUPER BOWL.

pwn3d.

Oh, and GM sucks.

I'm a New Englander and I hate the Pats, so maybe you should stop generalizing. But then again, I hate Eagles even more.

What a shameful and embarrassing attempt to downplay our win.

Ok, T.O. played great under the circumstances.

We still won the Superbowl.

TO talks the talk, and walks the walk. He can say whatever the fvck he wants, he's been backing it up for a long time now.

The OP is the perfect example of the kind of people that propoganda works on. He equated anyone who disagrees or criticizes his team with the enemy. He probably thinks that people who disagree with the war in Iraq are members of a terrorist cult too.

McNabb played like he normally does. Wildly uneven, a few clutch plays, a lot of mistakes, several good throws and scrambles, and nervous in important situations. The way they blew all of the time at the end was incredible. I was hoping the announcers would insult them even more than they already did.

Your sig proves that you're NOT a true Philly fan. I equate your allegiance to the same level as all the dumbfvcks in a Philly pub last night who were more interested in going to the bathroom, getting their beers, and not paying attention to the game.

If you're going to say that McNabb choked after throwing for 3 TDs and 350+ yards and losing by 3, then you're a poser. Anything remotely related to Philly shouldn't be coming out of your mouth, let alone the word "McNabb".

If it's the truth then what's the problem?

To be a fan of something doesn't mean you have to blindly follow it with the mentallity of communist China.

You don't have to be a radical to support something. This is America, and you're an idiot.

Donovan McNabb: 30/51, 357yds, 3 TD, 3 INTERCEPTIONS

I don't care what kind of numbers you generate, if you throw 3 interceptions (none of which were tipped balls or other INTs you could possibly write up as not-his-fault), you choked.

Sorry to say that those numbers are not the whole story. He threw 4-5 interceptions, 3 of which counted, and was lucky that the rest did not count due to flags. He overthrew his receivers probably about 10 times in important plays. He poorly managed the clock. He did make some good plays, but he made just as many bad plays.

The truth is that Arc is just another fairweather Philly fan, I saw many of them last night. If you can't get into the SUPERBOWL, then you're not a fan. If you have to ask whether Philly had a "Challenge" in the first half, then you're not a true fan and weren't watching. If you don't think McNabb has progressively gotten better each year, then you're not a true Philly fan. If you're going to badmouth McNabb, at least provide a sound argument. Saying he "chokes" every year is moronic, look up Culpepper if you want to see what choking is about.

This is Anandtech, and you're a n00b.

He made 2 bad passes for INTs, yes. The last INT was a desperation throw + deflection. Look up how many QB's won the SB with 2 INTs, that is not called choking. McNabb is the winningest QB in the NFL for the past 5 years behind Brady, to say that he chokes is nothing close to moronic. McNabb is a warrior and a winner, any true blue collar Philly fan knows this. This SB was a learning experience for him, he will get better just like he has every year he's stepped foot on the gridiron.

rugby is cool... but hey.... you arn't getting paid the $$$ the NFL players are. I would want to protect my body too...

IMO rugby is a great fast paced game... but not as much strategy as american football... only b/c the stoppage of play. I like to watch both, but for me... it's like checkers vs chess

Not trying to flame you, but I disagree.

During the regular season this year, McNabb threw 31 TDs and 8 INTs. That equates to one interception every two games, which is a very good statistic.

I would define choking as playing significantly worse than your typical outing. If you average less than 1 interception per game, and then you go out and throw 3, I would classify that as a choke.

No.

This is the internet, and you're obviously taking it way to serious.

I don't have to have 50K posts to verbally run circles around you.

Your emotions and ignorance alone are already hanging yourself in your own thread.

But in the end, how much does all of this really matter?

You are going to do everything it takes to scramble your tiny little heart out (Godbless it), and gather the smallest amounts of Philly pride and dignity your shaking hands can gather in the wake of blowing the biggest game in the NFL, to somehow make this loss easier for you to handle.

The fact remains.

Blah blah...sounds like you still have a post loss hangover getting all upset about what defines a choke or a true fan. Bottom line is, if any one person cost the Eagles the game it was McNabb. End of story. Go ahead and have your dreams about a better team next year. But what team won't be better next year? Do you think the Pats won't play better without such a depleted secondary? Do you think Rothlisberger won't be able to handle a playoff game better after experience? The Eagles might be in the Super Bowl again next year, but don't count on it.

Huh?

How does SP33Demon = Nazi? You're insane 😕

It's a saying. Someone can be a Nazi without being a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

Ever see Seinfield? The Soup Nazi?

It's painfully apparent SP33Demon is an Eagles Nazi.

That's fine that you disagree, at least you provide a reason.

Fact of the matter is, the Pats shut down Philly's running game and made them play the passing game, which equates to more pick opportunities for the Pat's D. McNabb's 58% completion from last night is slightly above his career average, that's not "choking" against a great defense. Also, you're trying to compare McNabb's INT% rate from the regular season against the dynasty Pat's defense. You can throw regular season stats out of the window IMO.

I don't think anyone can take anything you say seriously since you've proven yourself to be a troll.

You've said nothing to back any type of argument whatsoever that McNabb "choked".

Where did I ever say that the Pats weren't the better team? The point > you. BTW, I have no problem with Boston = CHAMPIONSHIP CITY, since I'm a Bosox fanatic. Welcome to Anandtech and good luck, you'll need it.

The Eagles were LEADING even after 2 of their 4 turnovers. Once we got up 7, the defense completely fell apart. McNabb was forced to throw 51 passes against the best D in the league, he did not choke. He didn't play great, but he didn't play horribly either.

I don't think he's a choker. I think he choked. There is a difference. A choker is someone like patrick ewing who never seemed able to play big on big moments. McNabb is inconsistent in big situations. He did make some good plays, but his display at the end pretty much solidifies his performance as a choke. He still played extremely well in the playoffs, and even good QBs choke once in a while. I remember Favre choking in the playoffs on more than one occasion. And in true Favre style, when he choked, he REALLY choked. Anyone remember that GB st. louis game?
