Check this out I bought Bitdefender 9 Standard and Webroot's SpySweeper for download, both for $24.95, at this link with SpySweeper included for free:

http://www.hermanstreet.com/store/smarthtml/bitdefender-radio.html

When you start the SpySweeper setup it says it's version, 4.0.4.430, So I'll contact Webroot and see about getting a newer version setup.exe, but then I figure when you have this thing installed it won't matter and you can just update it to the latest version. All I can say is this is a cheap deal.

Nice articles on Bitdefender:

Also ICSA Labs certified:

West Coast Labs certifed: (Anti-Virus Level 1 & 2)
http://www.westcoastlabs.org/checkmarkcertification.asp

And they somewhere out there VirusBulletin approves them too:

All I can say for the two combined this is a good deal! ;)

P.S. I'm scanning right now with Bitdefender and surfing, something hard to do with Virus apps while scanning, that aren't sucking up your system.

Slick5150 what are you saying? I just bought it, you're not better off getting it from NewEgg, that is more expensive then buying both of these for the price of one.

SpySweeper is a full verison with a key, if this is what you are talking about.

P.S. Your right it was a 90 day version, I'm going to call and get my card refunded or get a full key and if not I'm going to contact Webroot and Bitdefender over this matter.

Well I've sent out a email, I'll be making a phone call tomorrow over this, I plan on either Herman Street giving me a key, or Webroot, or a refund.

Someone better get a spanking, that is all I've got to say! ;)

The SpySweeper 90 days trial was not disclosed on their web site which is totally bogus if in fact it is what it is. You can call them and find out and post it here of your results. The deal seems hot due to a great rating of the Bitdefender from pcworld.
The Spysweeper is an excellent spyware defender as I've used it for 2 years and never had a spyware intruded into my pc undetected.

They're going to get a piece of my mind tomorrow, this is not a good thing at all and when I get done with Webroot, in a nice way but a man of smarts, THINGS will happen and get done, I guarantee it!

Hope you had better luck than the guy who posted on resellerratings. He didn't seem to get anywhere with them on the 90-day trial issue..

But, bitdefender is a really good program, so at least you got that. But, that's why I pointed out it was better to save $2 and get it from newegg.

Unless I missed looking at their site or something but the 90 days trial should have been added. Otherwise, it is false advertising. Print a hard copy of their site, call them and threaten them with legal stuffs. ie contact the D.A. office etc.

Well I just got off the phone with some of the management of Webroot and good things are going to look up for this. I spoke to one manager over the matter, but another one is going to contact me by phone later to talk further over this matter.

This matter is going to get fixed I can assure everyone here of that, because I have been in computing far to long.

You know the thing is, if we all look at it like, what's the beef over $24.95, then yes it's not that much of a deal. BUT the truth of the matter is HOW much money was made based on this deception?, making people think they where getting two real full one year versions for the price of one.

Thousands, or even tens of thousands in sales, no one knows, but one thing is for sure, audit them and we'll know how much was made and how big a rip off it was, if it was at all.

P.S. Webroot will allow me to extend my key after 90 days to one year also. As real PC people, Geeks, we need to try and protect the newbies and this is what it's all about and I don't like it one bit!
