With any luck there will be a glut of 290's on the market that results in prices dropping to where they should be.

That was my thought as well. It would certainly be a welcome thing to happen for a lot of people interested in the R9 290/X series but not at the premium they are demanding.
 
After the initial crash its already up $100. Seems most folks are moving on to better exchanges, after seeing that crypto is indeed not centralized. Now if some folks would actually invest to improve these exchanges we'd be on to something.
