Bit torrents? Have all directories been shut down?

I was wondering i know about the new technology bit torrent which is being used to transfer files. I recently have been researching various sites that used to be directories and they have all been shut down and recently the last big one suprnova can no longer be accessed. I was wondering if anybody out there knew for a fact that all have been shut down by either the riaa or the mpaa or are there still a few stragglers lurking in the dark somewhere?

For suprnova just add some .tk to the end... .org got lost for a bit.
