Many of them are happier. They deserve a fuck load more but they aren't necessarily unhappy. I'm talking about those who are not starving of course. Happiness is a subject that has been rigorously studied. They have done many surveys that show that many people living in 3rd world slums are not horribly unhappy. And similarly that millionaires are not always doing the happy dance.

Trying not to drink heavily, at all actually. Seriously I'm the type that could end up on the lower east side if I go down that route. Long walks do help but only so long as you are walking. I suppose if I walked 40,000 km maybe.
