Well he could probably resign and just lose his retirement, or spend some time at Fort Leavenworth. It would make more sense if he said that there was no state of war and he refuses to defend the poppy fields. I have no wish to defend a Muslim State with the blood of Americans. Maybe we can attack militant training camps but it is not worth trying to fix everything in Afghanistan or Iraq. We had a chance to try to fix Afghanistan and President Bush attacked Iraq instead. I thought that was a bozo idea. With Iran supplying extremists and supporting terrorists, it is a waste of time without getting rid of the leadership in Iran. Iran is the active force that is disrupting that entire region. Cut the head off of the Snake first.

Remember what happened when the moderates were coming to power in Iran? We had that nice "Axis" speech, which caused the Iranians to line up behind those bastards in power. Why? Because they were THEIR bastards. and what gives Bush the right to judge their people as evil, especially since they were the only Muslim nation to show support for the US after 9/11?

Go after the leadership who is persecuting the people of that country and you'll set the natural decay of leadership back yet again.

The Iranians have been around for thousands of years and they still think of themselves of a people who conquered their known world as Persians. They are highly nationalistic, and that wasn't taken into account by the last administration who viewed the world as little Americans.

Only a fool would attack Iran now.

Interesting that this dope chose to defy an order from the only active Medal of Honor recipient when he went full retard.

I have no problem with the position of Col. Terry Larkin, just give him a dishonorable discharge and be done with it.

SCOTUS has already ruled, his position is full of shit, leaving him without a leg to stand on .

Sorry Terry, you may have a legal right to be unhappy, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Disobey an order, leave the military, and having the door slam on your butt is your choice. Lotsa luck in your future endeavors, don't go away mad, just go away.

A Lt Col? have you seen his decorations?...I doubt he's a coward.

Stupid move on his part? For sure. But not a coward.

Please. Spare me the bullshit. I see u edited the whole "battalion" nonsense. I served for 10 yrs so i'm well aware of what a lt col. Does. I'm calling it as i see it. And i'm entitled to my opinion.

Yes, because typically, as you know, a Lt Col IS in charge of a battalion; however, after reading his profile, his post didnt. Thus I corrected for the sake of accuracy.

and yes, of course you are entitled. :cookie:

he is entitled to believe whatever he wants, no matter how wrong or misguided it may be. but as an active member in the military, he has to obey orders from a superior officer.

since obama's citizen status has been legally settled and he IS the lawful President, the military is justified in court-martialing the individual.

Scares the hell out of me the type of fucked up people we issue a gun and a military rank to. We should at least require a basic IQ and mental stability test, I understand we need some mentally challenged bullet stoppers but we should issue them ornamental guns with blanks

This^

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Even if there were issues with the presidents qualification under the constitution he still is bound by his oath and the Uniform Code of Military Justice to obey the orders of any superior officer. Questions about the presidents constitutional qualifications are irrelevant if he recieves the order from any officer appointed over him.
