Birth Control question....

My girlfriend is thinking of using birth control, and she wants to know how long she has to be on the patch before we're "good to go" so to speak. Any ideas? Been looking through some sites, haven't found anything. THanks

When I took birth control pill.. the doctor told me to wait a month, but when i read the inserts it says it's ok after a week.. but i waited a month just to be sure

She has to go to the doctor to get on the pill He'll fill her in there. IIRC, something like 1.5 months though.

If you want instant satisfaction and are disease free, see if she'll consider the sponge.

Ya i know but I read that they have the same amount of hormones released to the body..

The sponge is not available in the United States. It is available in Canada.

The company has had tremendous difficulty getting FDA approval in the USA since the product was taken off the market and bought by another company.

Which is a shame, because the sponge is really a kick butt birth control method in my book.
