Birmingham, Abalama which airline NorthWest, Continental or United?

RossMAN

Grand Nagus
Prices according to Orbitz.com

$303 NorthWest Airlines
$311 Continental Airlines
$326 United Airlines

I believe Orbitz adds a $10 processing fee, not sure if the above prices include security/gate/ticket fees.

We'll probably be there Friday June 6 - Sunday June 8 visiting friends and family, sorry that doesn't include any ATOT meets 😀

I prefer United because I have flown them before and have a Mileage account with them.

Which airline would you fly and why?

PRICELINE BABY! I know you had some problems but I think it has nothing to do with their service. just their part in no exchange or cancellation

I can tell you to stay away from NorthWorst. I fly them regularly between Atlanta and Detroit and hate that airline.

If you can stay longer, you can get a round trip for $208

*Edit - You would have to leave on Sat, June 7 and return Tue, June 10.

Priceline can suck my wang and lick my balls, I'll never ever use them again for airline tickets.

Maybe hotel and car rental but never airline tickets.

Rossman pm me back details I will simple tell you how much on priceline than you will decide which price you wanna pay

My brother uses NW for flights from Tampa to BHM. He doesn't have any problems. He actually loves them.

Continental--I own some of its stock 😛

If you book directly from the airlines' sites, the may not be a fee. I do this all the time, check fares on Orbitz, then book straight from airlines' sites.

I've not used Priceline before--Why is it bad? Any informative links for why PL should suck your wang?

bunker - Thanks for the PM and idea of being flexible with my dates, already saved me about $80!

1YellowPeril - Good idea, use orbitz or expedia to compare different airlines then book directly with the airline itself to avoid the middle man and extra fees, thanks!

rudder - I don't believe SW ever has flights from PDX to BHM

Whoa, is there a Birmingham meet coming up that I didn't know about? :Q You flyin' in from Oregon to meet the Skroobs and Millenium? Can I come? (I'll teach you how to use that A40 once and for all...!)

Personally, I would recommend AGAINST Continental. My gf and I had a very bad experience with them flying from PDX to Dulles in D.C.

We bought tickets through Northwest but the flight itself ended up being on Continental (they are the same company).
We had two connections to make. The first plane took off very late so we (barely) missed the first connection despite running through the terminal. Obviously, this made us miss the second as well.

Anyway, the trip ended up taking nearly 4 hours longer than it should have. The service we got from their staff was not very good. And they did not even offer us an upgrade or anything, which other airlines have done when they've caused that kind of delay.

I've only flown United 2 or 3 times, but I've had much better luck with them. Everything has always gone smoothly.
